Te Anau
Southland Branch owns Wapiti Lodge.
The Lodge is situated 2km south of Te Anau township on the Te Anau - Manapouri Highway, opposite the Wildlife Park.
Wapiti Lodge proves an excellent base for anyone visiting Fiordland. Overlooking Lake Te Anau, our Lodge has excellent views of the Fiordland Mountains.
Completely private, the Lodge contains three bedrooms (twin, double, bunks).
An upstairs loft provides mattress sleeping for 10-12 people.
Heating: A heat pump is installed but the lodge has an open fire for ambience - fuel is not provided.
The Lodge is fully electric, microwaves, barbeque, colour TV with Freeview VCR & DVD, all crockery, cutlery etc. Linen is not supplied. All other bedding provided.
Free Wireless Internet (WiFi) is Available (T&C's of use apply).
Southland Branch Members may book three months ahead. All other bookings - one month ahead.

- Lake Henry - Child-only fishing lake
- Walking distance (along the lake) to the Town and Waiau Control Gates.

A wonderful hut/lodge in quick reach of the Mavora Lakes & on the doorstep to hunting.
This location is off the road & well isolated from traffic. Feels like the middle of nowhere yet is is close enough to a degree of civilisation.
Amenities include:
- Outdoor Eco-Loo (Longdrop)
- Coal Range stove
- Wetback & cylinder for hot water (off Coal Range)
- Gas Stove & element (9KG or companion LPG bottle fitting)
- Gas outdoor BBQ (9KG LPG bottle fitting)
- 5 beds (2x bunks) + extra matresses.
- Room for a tentsite if applicable.
- Adequate cutlery, plates, glasses & cooking utensils that you'll need.
- Tank (rain) water fed.
There is adequate shelter behind the building for storing chilly-bins and cool-required goods.
For the LOTR fans - it is around two of the "Fangorn Forest" filming sites.
